"Pictures / Images" tab

This tab lists in a table all images already used or to be used in my projects, along with their sources.
Please note that:
  • With a few exceptions, I downloaded the images in the following dimensions (in pixels): 16x16, 20x20, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256
  • I used the website www.findicon.com extensively. Unfortunately, this site is now closed. However, I have kept the links to it
  • The "Name / Nom" column provides the name of the resource in MS Visual Studio .NET projects
  • This list is not set in stone; images may be added, removed, or modified

This tab lists the third-party tools I use in my development projects.

I'd like to take this opportunity to pay special tribute to Philip PIPER and his ObjectListView.
In my opinion, this wrapper for Microsoft's ListView is a marvel.

Larry Wall, the author of Perl, once wrote that the three essential character flaws of any good programmer were sloth, impatience and hubris. Good programmers want to do the minimum amount of work (sloth). They want their programs to run quickly (impatience). They take inordinate pride in what they have written (hubris).

ObjectListView encourages the vices of sloth and hubris, by allowing programmers to do far less work but still produce great looking results..
